Moffat says Doctor Who Series 8 Will Be Uninterrupted

British media outlets are quoting Doctor Who show runner Stephen Moffat as saying that series 8 of the long running Sci-Fi series will be continuous from beginning to end.

The last few series have seen long breaks between each half  of the series, much to the frustration of fans.

But Moffat assures us that the next few series go uninterrupted.

We’re not going to do splits [in series eight], and the same format will repeat exactly the following year like that – so it will be the traditional form.

Series 8  has begun filming and stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor. Capaldi recently took over for fan-favourite Matt Smith and joins the Doctor’s current companion Clara Oswald played by Jenna Coleman. Moffat says the new series will air this summer.
